Training is needed to ensure that the volunteers are adequately equipped to carry out the
work they are assigned to. Their training should include:

• General introduction to the clean rivers project, which include geographical location and flow of the waterways as well as the roles played by the various government agencies in maintaining the cleanliness of the waterways and its aquatic life.

• Course on maintenance of patrol boats.


• Class room session for all members.


• Launching and retrieving of boats.
