It was a week of fair activities for Waterways Watch Society (WWS).
We rolled out one school talk sponsored by SPH for Admiralty Secondary School (1,100 students), two River Monster programs at WWS with Woodlands Ring Secondary School (80 pax), a Kayak program for Rainbow Centre (10 pax), two safety boat services (one service contractor and one for NHK TV Station), a presentation at Punggol Office with CLC (35 pax) and attending the launch of Keep Clean, Singapore. In addition, 26 members were on duty for weekend patrols. We had two kayak corporate events cancelled this week.
Fishing along Marina and Punggol are not so evident this weekend as reported by patrols but there are still many PMDs for both Marina and Punggol. The otters had visited our area again early this week (see photos). While they are cute and harmless to human so far, they are giving some causes of concern especially with their growing numbers.
