While it was a short week due to Vesak Day (Wednesday), WWS still had many programmes to deliver and it was also an important week as we had one more full-time staff (John) joining us and an NUS-intern (Anqi). We did two more River Monster Junior Programs over two days with Stamford American International School (SAIS – 109 kindergarten kids), two River Monster programmes with Woodlands Ring Secondary School (74 pax total), one Kayak Learning Trail with Rainbow Centre (12 pax), and two Assembly Talks at Opera Estate Primary School (1000 pax) and Dunman Secondary School (200 pax). In addition, we did two safety boat service (one removing the CLOUD) and the other for the weekend SAVA Dragon Boat Race. We then ended the week with WWS doing our part for “Keep Clean, Singapore” Month, with 37 members and 4 Salesforce partners involved. An exco meeting was held on Saturday to discuss the new year’s financial position and job assignments of staff (full-time and part-time). We also held discussions with James Cook University (Kenneth) to discuss potential partnership for their students in this new year and with SIT (Yonglin) on the rolling out of his FYP for our biodiversity pond. See photos attached.
Sunday patrols at Marina and Punggol were put on hold and will resume next week because of Saturday’s Keep Clean, Singapore event.
