Dear Friends,

The week past was saw many events happening for WWS. We conducted two Assembly Talks (sponsored by Pratt & Whitney) at Yangzheng Primary School (~1000 pax) and Serangoon Secondary School (~1000 pax), two Kayak programmes with Ministry of Finance (12 pax) and IMC (12 pax), one Bike programme with Bedok Green Secondary School (20 pax), one MAD@Mac Learning Trail (sponsored by Ascendas Gives Foundation) with Ang Mo Kio Secondary School and four safety boat duties. We also had two meetings with NVPC and Plastic Lite Singapore respectively, one member attended a movie screening of Al Gore’s Inconvenient Truth 2 organised by NWCDC and we had a recce of the site for this year’s ICCS.

Over the weekend, we had 17 members out for Marina Bike and Boat Patrol and Punggol Bike Patrol. 31 members attended the Illegal fishing enforcement course conducted by PUB. It was a meaningful and informative session. We look forward to receiving the authority cards so that we can finally engage illegal fishermen more effectively. At least 90 persons were engaged for anti-littering. No fines were issued for Littering during the weekend.
