It was short and easy week for WWS, with one NWCDC-Sponsored Assembly Talk with Naval Base Primary School (1000 pax) earlier in the week before Deepavali PH. We also had a Recce at Tanah Merah ICCS site for an upcoming Beach Clean-Up with Procter & Gamble (for 300 participants in Nov.). 2 of our members attended a Plastic Oceans Workshop by the National Marine Laboratory on Thursday and 18 members attended a sharing by Fly Fishing Expert Ian on Saturday (see photos). We had our usual Weekend Patrols at Marina (Boat and Bike) and Sunday Patrol at Punggol (Bike, Boat and Kayak).
We had 48 pax on patrol this weekend, including new members (10) on orientation at both Marina and Punggol and 4 volunteers through Giving.SG. Punggol Patrol had more people patrolling on Sunday (23) as compared to Kallang (17) on the same day. There were 94 persons engaged for Anti-Littering this week and we had at least 20 engaged for illegal fishing. No fines were issued for Littering during the weekend.
