We managed several activities this week at WWS despite the school holidays. We had two CSR programmes with staff from Bedok South Secondary School (35 pax) and staff from Anderson Primary School (22 pax) respectively. It was unfortunate that Bedok South program had to settle for Wet Weather because of the heavy rain. In addition, we had a booth and corporate session at Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd premises.
We ended off the week with a Family Kayak Patrol (9 pax) and the usual Bike Patrols at Marina and Punggol. The Sunday group also helped to do a minor spring cleaning of several areas of the office.
We had 18 pax on patrol this week at Kallang and Punggol including 1 new member. There were no engagements for Anti-Littering this week, and we had less than 10 engaged for illegal fishing this week. No fines were issued for Littering during the weekend. Litter Hotspots were found near the Singapore Flyer (100 Plus drink cups possibly from a recent TNP Big Walk Event).
More than 80% of the litter picked up/ observed during our patrols/ programmes over the week continue to consist of plastic waste.
