Camp Enviro Awareness: Camp for school kids. 3d/2n camp. This is the second camp for the year. The Camp was a success with 18 students(age between 12-13) from Whispering Hope spending time with us. Noh, Doreen were Camp Commanders. Yi Linn and Nurul helped out with key logistics including liaising with 5 SMU CIP volunteers, all staying overnite. Peter and Eugene helped out especially doing mid-nite duty. Chiang, Jane and Daniel were present to assist during the day. Another is planned for the 15-17th. Dec. 2005. Thank you. |

Camp EnviroAwareness This is the third camp planned for 2005. At present we have 20 students (age 9) from Whispering Hope coming. Noh and Doreen will be Camp Commanders with Yi Linn and Nurul playing key supporting roles. Peter and Eugene will help as usual doing nite guard duty. During the day, Chiang, Steven, Marilyn and Annie will help out. During this camp, we will also have a Patrol Tour planned for PUB on friday 16th. 2005. We however still need more volunteers. During the period 26th. Dec. 2005 through 04th. Jan. 2006, WWS will be helping the Esplanade on their New Year's Eve 2005 Count Down Celebration. We will be assisting them in laying and dismantling of over 2,000 floating balls in front of the Esplanade. Members have been assigned for this task and briefing held with the Esplanade Management. This is good exposure for WWS and a potential long term partnership with them. |

Presentation to NYA (National Youth Association) The Asean Youth Forum on the environment was organised to commemorate the ASEAN Environment Year 2000. A total of 100 youth leaders from 10 ASEAN Member countries participated in this Forum and one of the objectives are to encourage youths of ASEAN Member countries to examine all sides of environmental issues by exposing them to various aspects of the environment and how history, culture, society, economics affect the way decisions are made. |
