Training

Boat training

Training is needed to ensure that the volunteers are adequately equipped to carry out the work they are assigned to. Their training should include:

  • General introduction to the clean rivers project, which include geographical location and flow of the waterways as well as the roles played by the various government agencies in maintaining the cleanliness of the waterways and its aquatic life.

  • Workshop on land-based pollution and water pollution, including guidelines on how to identify pollution sources.

   

  • Course on maintenance of patrol boats.

   

    

New volunteers will have to attend theory and practical lessons before they are passed by the training department to participate in river patrols.

Basic Training

  • Class room session for all members.

   

  • Launching and retrieving of boats.
