Full force!

Dear Friends,

This was a week of full force! We had a full week of CSR/VIA participants , eager to contribute back to the environment right after National Day weekend with 9 programmes and over 200 participants. We had a full force of members at a record high of 102 this weekend. We also unfortunately had a full force of trash to pick up, so much that our members could not pick them all! All this just after our SG60 Celebrations!!

Our Marina bike patrols spotted a significant amount of rubbish at the usual areas they visited, which was not their usual findings at all. No surprise that our top culprit this week were plastic bottles too, seen across all our 4 locations. Smokers in our Parks were also noticeably on the increase and engagement done with many this weekend. We just spoke of a better Singapore and we are also quick to make it worse in less than a few days – the irony of it all.

Let’s start by not taking our environment for granted. This is the only country and space we have. Let’s take care of it together as Singapore.
