Upgrading!
Dear Friends,
This week, WWS is seeing quite a bit of upgrading on our end. We have a new container office outside our Kallang branch, courtesy of PIL and supported by Gardens by the Bay. We are also upgrading our internal systems and we hope that this will better serve our partners and members. Lately, our interns and part-timers have also helped update our banners, posters and media, giving us a new refreshing look to our premises and image. You can view some new videos on our YouTube channel!
But as usual, as Singapore upgrades our infrastructure and technology, our civic mindedness remains as primitive as ever. We have always wondered how an educated, first-world country can lag so far behind on cleanliness, environmental awareness and even processes like recycling. Across donation options and non-profit support, environmental causes are often ranked last, despite the long-term impacts and importance for the survival of everyone.
We hope people will also upgrade their knowledge of environmental protection and how we can sustain ourselves, especially our water resources here in Singapore.
WWS Members, don’t forget! Our AGM is on 7 Sep at 2pm. Those who have indicated attending lunch, please come as we have ordered your portion. Our valued partners will be able to view the details of our AGM on our website after that.
