Aftermath!
Dear Friends,
Time flies and we are in Q4 of 2025 in the blink of an eye. We take a break, not only from breaking records, but also to give ourselves and our members a breather. Our team recently organised a mooncake session to celebrate the festivities for our members and our boat skippers were also engaged to help out with filming a documentary about our waterways animal residents. This week, many members went away from Singapore this season, enjoying the waterways and environment in other countries; but those remained continued to help out and do whatever they can. Thank you once again, WWS team!
We are also recently done with F1 and a Lighting event at Chinese Gardens. However, these added to much of our litter around Marina and Jurong respectively. We started seeing lots of rubbish left lying around, collecting a total of 537kg from CSR and patrols added together.
What people don’t seem to understand is that it takes a lot more effort, resources and finances to clear all these, than if we all played a part to clear our own trash to begin with! And we often ask where our taxpayers money go to when we could help even save these for better spending. There is also the health risk which many simply disregard. It is time to do the math for our environment, not create a disastrous aftermath!
