Stay focused on what we do right!
Dear Friends,
We were fortunate to receive strong support from the corporate while continuing to experience yet another wet week at Waterways Watch Society. The consistent strong participation from the CSR programmes and volunteers’ patrols. We received very positive feedback from some of our CSR participants while they were surprised about the reality in our waterways and parks, with so much trash.
There were sights of the leftover foods and emptied packaging around the Kallang fishing zones are continual challenges about social behaviour. We need to focus on our patrols and engagement to the public for an ABC (active, Beauty & Clean) park.
We’ve observed lately there were PMA users in Kallang Riverside park, while the users looked suspicious without a valid reason but young adults riding on it. Sightings of dog owners without leashes in the park appear to be on the increase. This week alone sighted three owners (regular park users). It’s sad to spot an adult size monitor lizard with a plastic bottle seal stuck around its neck. See the photo below while it’s spotted in the bushes in front of the Sportshub. Wonderwho left the seal?
