Enjoy yourself, responsibly.
Dear Friends,
The Waterways Watch Society would like to wish all our muslim members and friends a very Selamat Hari Raya!!

While we are heartened to see many taking this holiday period as an opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, it is upsetting to see the amount of litter that they leave behind. There were very visible sightings of increase in litter in all our three locations – Marina, Punggol and Lakeside. A lot was picked up and we even found large amounts of ketupat decorations on the grass and marina reservoir.
While we did not see many illegal fishing during the week, some returned on the weekends. It was good to see some being engaged by PUB enforcement officers. Hopefully word will spread that illegal fishing around the Marina reservoir is being closely monitored and discouraged.
Programmes for CSR and VIA continued during the week with member patrols at Marina, Punggol and Lakeside.
