Fish responsibly.

Dear Friends,

Last week was a relatively slow week at WWS, with few programmes happening during the week. Despite that, a whopping 351kg of litter was collected! Meanwhile, our patrol members collected a total of 93kg. This was despite the Lakeside Patrol being cancelled due to the weather after 16 members reported for duty. All had to stay inside our Lakeside container office.

Additionally, our members have been making regular reports that there is a lot of litter in the fishing zones in Marina, which has also been included in our reports the past weeks. Unfortunately, we are still seeing a lot of litter in our fishing zones. Another concerning issue that we have sighted this week is that a number of dead fish were found near the Marina Promontory area. We are not sure what is causing this, but perhaps it would be good if the relevant authorities could further investigate this issue.
