OVERVIEW
It was a week of hectic activities and duties. Over the weekend, volunteer Adam was interviewed by AsiaOne for their programme on young volunteers. On Sunday we supported the media doing a PUB Video with our safety boats.
Besides our usual schools and corporate programmes, the other highlight of the week was the solemnization of member Kian Seng and partner Wan Ning by CEO Eugene Heng on Saturday 20th April at ACM. Congratulations to the newlyweds from all at Waterways.
Summary of activities conducted over last two weeks
In summary, the following activities were done for this week:
- We conducted 7 CSR and 2 VIA programmes which were attended by 214 participants and 2300 participants respectively, and together they collected a total of 352 kg of litter.
- A total of 38 members were involved in CSR/VIA programmes and talks; another 50 members turned up for patrols, administration, housekeeping duties and training.
- The total trash collected by patrol groups from members was 84 kg .
- Boat Patrol. A total of 3 Boat patrols were carried out; 1 at Marina and 2 at Punggol
- Bike Patrol. A total of 3 Bike patrols were carried out; 1 at Marina, 1 at Punggol and 1 at Lakeside.
- Pedal boat Patrol. 2 Pedal Boat patrols were conducted; 1 at Marina and 1 at Lakeside.
- Housekeeping and Maintenance 1 member did housekeeping at Punggol.
