When will we learn to be socially responsible?
Dear Friends,
A number of concerning incidents were seen this week, with dead pigeons and food littering at Marina, as well as a defaced fishing sign. Quite a number of illegal fishers were sighted this week as well, with two not complying after being advised to move to a fishing zone. It was reported to PUB and they sent people down to engage the two illegal fishermen.
On another note, we were glad to see that our CSR and VIA programme participants were full of enthusiasm to do their part in keeping our waterways clean and they managed to collect a total of 218kg.
Our second run of first aid courses was held at the start of the week and we are glad to say that everyone who attended passed with flying colours. We also held a one-star kayaking course at Marina reservoir on 12 July for 10 of our members and we are glad to hear they found the session fulfilling.
