After Election, the dawn of a new Era!
Dear Friends,
It was a very quick season of General Elections in Singapore, and it fell on 3 May, a Saturday. We did not have any patrols that day to allow our members to perform their national duty of voting. We were very blessed this week with 60 volunteers helping both Kallang and Jurong, including a kayak patrol on Labour Day! And boy, look what they found! Much of it was food-related rubbish. Could it be a coincidence? Or because our citizens are too busy supporting their favourite political parties, they forgot how to keep our island nation clean? It really was a heart-breaking sight for us.
Due to Labour Day public holiday in between, we also did not have many CSRs this week. Many of our usual clients reported that their staff already made arrangements for a long weekend and were not available, but we appreciate the efforts of those who came.
