WWS Turns Contractors!!

Dear Friends,

This weekend, Pang Sua had another ‘new member’ joining the group – Welcome Muru! It is very heartening to see more individuals step-up and join WWS in its fortnightly cleanup activity at Pang Sua. Thanks to the team under Aung, their numbers have been ‘growing’. Pang Sua has its own challenges and the team still has a lot of work carved out for them. Keep it up Team Pang Sua!

We have been frequently seeing large construction materials in or near our reservoirs too, such as construction timber, metal pipes, nails, and the like. Punggol just went 1 step further this week, finding flood barriers and others in the Waterways (see photos)! We have managed to stop illegal sewage dumping from industrial areas, is it now time to look at having contractors clean up when they are done with their work? These are definitely hazardous objects if not handled properly. We have reported to our partner PUB who is currently looking into this.

Because of the school holidays, most programmes done were for Corporates including good interest from Government Agencies!

Summary of activities conducted over this week:
