To a better 2025….. We hope!
Dear Friends,
As the year comes to a close, we are sad to report that we have collected approximately 17,300kg of trash in 2024 alone, just from our CSR programmes. That is an average of about 47kg per day! How much more would our professional cleaners have collected in the same year?
Patrols on weekends picked up and sighted lots of litter in our waters and shoreline and park areas as well. Probably after the Christmas Holiday period but no excuse. This should not be acceptable. It appears that in Singapore, social grace and behaviour is still very much lacking! What next with New Year’s Eve coming! We (and the government especially) have much more to do to tackle this very serious social problem.
As we celebrate the coming year ahead, let’s aim for a cleaner & greener Singapore! All the talk and talk and talk about sustainability, being eco-friendly & going green means nothing, if we don’t act on it on a daily basis.
