Let’s care more for our environment.
Dear Friends,
This week we had a primary school and a tuition centre engage us for VIA programmes, as well as three CSR programmes. We are thankful that the weather has held up well this week and there was no postponement due to bad weather. The pre-school VIA shared with us that they found our program very engaging and meaningful and will return. It’s always great to know we can add value to our society.
Once again, we noticed an oil spill in our reservoir waters, along the path towards Sheares Bridge. We have reported this to PUB and understand that follow-up action is being taken against those responsible. We also noticed that there have been more illegal fishing this week, especially for groups that are using live bait, with three separate groups being engaged at Marina this Sunday. Aside from that, there have been a number of concerning sightings at various locations over the week. A broken lamp post was spotted in Punggol, a damaged convex mirror at Stadium Road, and a bin overflowing with trash in Lakeside. Is vandalism on the rise in Singapore??
On a more joyous note, we would like to announce that one of our 2nd skipper, a regular member and facilitator, has been promoted to a 1st skipper after going through several boat training. Well done Boon Yeow!
